Overview:
Congressman Dan Kildee’s re-election campaign is looking to hire multiple part-time field ambassadors to work across the newly-drawn Michigan’s 8th Congressional District.
Job Description:
Field Ambassadors will work with the Organizing Department to knock doors and talk to voters throughout the district.
Responsibilities include:
Report to Organizer lead in your turf
Talk to hundreds of people weekly through door-to-door canvassing, phone and text banking
Enter data collected from potential voters into miniVan.
Willingness and dedication to learn about current political issues
Minimum Requirements:
Must be reliable and responsible to fulfill your roles and responsibilities.
Must attend a mandatory orientation and training.
Must have a cell phone that is compatible with miniVan.
Must have strong verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal communication skills, always maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude
Physically work in the new MI-08 and have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Flexible to work weekdays and weekends
Compensation:
Start date as early as September 19th
$15/hr paid on a bi-weekly basis through Nov 8th
All ambassadors will be asked to dedicate 20 hours a week to the campaign
Resumes will be accepted on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.
