Description of Role/Responsibilities:
Beacon Hill is ideally seeking an Enterprise Data Architect that specializes in AWS cloud platforms to oversee the design and strategy for one of the largest technology modernization projects for one of our top clients in the Louisville, KY area. This Data Architect will be focusing mainly on the data strategy for a cloud migration project where this organization will be transitioning from an on-prem mainframe to an AWS cloud platform. This person will need to have strong leadership capabilities as well as strong communication skills to be comfortable interacting with multiple different teams as well as integrating with 3rd party development teams and being the liaison between business and technical teams. Experience with data governance processes, Business Intelligent tools, and data modeling strategies will be highly desired. Required Skills:
Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in Enterprise Data Archtecture
Must have experience in AWS cloud technologies
Strong experience with Data Design and Strategy
Must be able to show leadership experience working with both IT and Business requirements
Must have Business Intelligence experience
Must have strong understanding of Agile methodologies
Must be comfortable consulting executive leadership on optimization the project platform
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have experience overseeing a 3rd party development teams
Must be able to work collaboratively with team members and be respectful of others ideas and differing technical opinions
Desired Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Masters degree
Cloud certifications is a highly desired
PowerBI experience is highly desired
Experience with a Cloud Migration project is highly desired
Strong knowledge of Snowflake and other Data toolsets is highly desired
Experience with Data Security and Governance is a plus
Enterprise organization experience
Insurance or Financial Services experience is a plus
