IN-HOME CAREGIVER NEEDED: FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE (Sun Prairie)
IN-HOME CAREGIVER NEEDED: FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE (Sun Prairie, WI)
I live three blocks from the eastern boundary of Madison.
SALARY: $19-$20/hour depending on experience/Raise at 6 months
SCHEDULE: 4 days per week, 7 hours per day (9:00a-4:00p). I can be somewhat flexible with these hours. You may come earlier or later in the morning and leave earlier or later in the afternoon. There are some afternoons with appointments and the shift may run a little longer.
Additional hours are available through evening shift (usually an easier shift) 6:00 or 6:30-9:30 or 10:00 some flexibility, $17/hour.
ABOUT YOU:
You are a committed, motivated person who communicates well and is easy going. As my Daytime Caregiver you perform the important morning routine which involves passive and active range of motion, transferring, toileting, showering, exercises, and other duties. This position requires additional training in caregiving skills provided by my senior staff and myself.
ABOUT ME:
I am an easy to get along with (most of the time) 68-year-old woman who became quadriplegic around 10 years ago. I am mostly paralyzed from the neck down, with plenty of room to improve. My brain continues to refuse to accept that I can no longer engage in my pre-injury activities. Luckily, I am happy to do anything involving physical exertion, such as standing practice, passive and active range of motion, strengthening and stretching muscles, going for walks (jogging with a friend by keeping my chair at their pace). I yearn to do more. I can move forward only with the help of committed and compassionate people. I also thrive on humor and laughing. I hope you do too!

You are an active member in determining a treatment plan, in opposed to following checkmarks on a plan established by administrators.
REQUIREMENTS:
Physically healthy and strong
Valid driver’s license, insurance and personal reliable transportation
CNA, other Health Certificates, and previous experience valuable (not required)
Commitment of about a year valuable (not required)
