Who is Comprehensive Healthcare? Comprehensive Healthcare provides innovative behavioral health and integrated healthcare services to clients of all ages. What are we looking for in a Behavioral Health Specialist? Behavioral Health Specialists with PACT (Program for Assertive Community Treatment) provide mental health treatment to clients as part of a multidisciplinary team. PACT is a service delivery model with the primary goal of recovery through community treatment. Its target population is individuals with challenging and persistent mental health issues. The PACT model is characterized by a team approach, shared caseload, time-unlimited services, flexible service delivery, and 24/7 crisis availability. Using evidence-based practices, Behavioral Health Specialists provide clients and their families with support in learning new skills and connecting to community resources. Counseling and skill development may be provided through individual or group sessions, depending on need. This position is part of our Yakima campus and has a weekly schedule of Tuesday-Friday 8am-7pm, plus participation in the rotation for after-hours call coverage. Behavioral Health Specialist duties may include:

facilitating individual or family counseling and skill building sessions
leading behavioral health groups
providing mental health assessments for new program clients
developing an individualized treatment plan in collaboration with each client
assisting with case management such as assisting clients with completion of benefits paperwork or securing housing, monitoring of protective payee agreement, and connecting to community resources
monitoring client symptoms, medication response, and activities of daily living
completing all required clinical documentation in a timely and client-centered manner

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field
Must be eligible for designation as Mental Health Professional and for registration as Agency Affiliated Counselor
Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance
Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide documentation upon hire or be approved for a qualifying medical or religious exemption prior to starting work
