GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT: POSITION OPENING
Research, Evaluation, and Assessment Consultant- District and School Services/Curriculum and Assessment
IN THIS ROLE:
You will provide consulting services, resource development, and professional learning in large- scale student assessment, program evaluation, and research to the local school districts in Oakland County.
WHAT WE NEED:
We are seeking an energetic, collaborative team member to help provide leadership and direction to Oakland Schools and local school districts in the development, implementation and coordination of programming and resources in the areas of student assessment systems and state educational data systems, especially as it relates to quantitative data analysis, data visualization, and overall assessment literacy. Your expertise in state data systems, large-scale student assessment systems, analyzing data, visualizing data, and developing action plans to address issues discovered through data analysis will be key in our efforts to support increased student growth and achievement. You will serve as a resource to Oakland Schools’ staff, local school personnel, government and community agencies, and professional organizations.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Master’s degree in Education, Educational Measurement, Quantitative Methods, or Psychology. Doctorate degree preferred.
Deep knowledge and experience with MS Excel is required.
Three or more years of related experience including experience developing capacity for data analysis, creating data visualizations, and reporting data to educational stakeholders.
K-12 teaching certificate preferred.
Experience with Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), Tableau, Illuminate DnA, and/or JasperSoft studio preferred.
Quantitative research experience preferred.
Ability to facilitate high-quality adult learning related to assessment literacy, data analysis of measurement instruments related to large-scale student academic assessment, and other state educational data systems.
Ability to create high-quality guidance documentation, professional learning content, and technical assistance.
WHAT WE PROVIDE:
Salary range of $93,762 to 108,735 annually with the potential to earn up to $117,096 annually based on annual step increases / Exempt position /12-month work year
