Job Description :
The Cambria Hotel in Shelby Township is seeking to fill Room Attendant positions in our housekeeping department. This position will provide a flexible schedule (all day shifts, varying days), opportunities for employment bonuses, a full benefits package, opportunity for advancement and full or part time employment.
Preferred skills and knowledge:Service orientation. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to convey information and ideas
Ability to read and understand directions on cleaning chemicals.
Ability to use chemicals and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Obtain room assignments from your Supervisor at the beginning of the shiftCheck your cart to make sure it is correctly stocked
Follow a set pattern of steps for daily cleaning of occupied and check-out rooms so nothing is missed.
Check the room for damaged furniture and equipment.
Report all damage and missing items to your Supervisor immediately.
Restock your cart, remove any trash and dirty linen at the end of the shift so it is ready for the next day. Ensure that storage areas and work areas are neat and clean
Respond to guest questions.
Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc., to the Safety/Security Department.
Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor
