Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides organization-wide/multi-location expertise in the areas of external regulatory compliance, pay-for-performance, and patient safety standards as it relates to colleagues, medical staff, and inpatient and outpatient services.
Collaborates with leadership to guide and coordinate the planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical process related to regulatory compliance and continuous survey readiness through monitoring, auditing, leading organizational tracers, and staff education to support full compliance of The Joint Commission accreditation and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations.
Identifies compliance gaps and develops appropriate plans to address and close the gaps in collaboration with staff and leadership to assure continuous survey readiness.
Supports the development of policies and facilitates standardization of procedures to meet compliance requirements, identifies/creates education materials and educates providers, staff, and leadership to ensure continuous survey and regulatory compliance.
