Job Description-
Will report to assembly tech supervisor. Set up and changeover tooling and die fixtures associated with the assembly of plastic parts. Perform calibrations, camera programming, and part quality verification. Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime. This incudes electrical, pneumatic, cameras, light curtains, proximity sensors, ball screws, servos and other associated equipment.
*Salary depends on experience level.
Role and Responsibilities – Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Set up and changeover of tooling and die fixtures associated with assembly of plastic parts.
Perform calibrations, adjustments, camera programming, and part quality verification.
Maintain work station maintenance logs, including shift log checks and verification’s.
Ensure that all required preventative maintenance activity is completed. Maintain accurate records of scheduled and completed work.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime. This includes electrical, pneumatic, cameras, light curtains, proximity sensors, ball screws, servos and other associated equipment.
Maintain and control inventory of critical spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area and assist with other facility needs as required.
Operate a workstation as needed.
Assist maintenance staff as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skill and Education requirements:
High School Diploma, or equivalent.
Current Drivers License
One year of completed Technical or Trades School of any discipline beyond High School. Or currently enrolled in Technical or Trades School of any discipline with one semester completed. Or one year work experience in a similar field.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret equipment manuals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and work lists. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
Hi-lo experience is a plus, can train on site.
Self-motivated, and the ability to work with a team.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk and/or hear.
Must be able to examine parts and machinery using close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and to adjust focus.
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to wet, hot, cold and humid conditions. Initial training is required.
