UW Medical Center – Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a
full time (100% FTE, 40 hours per week), day shift ASSISTANT NURSE MANAGER (Registered Nurse 3) to join our ambulatory Freestanding Infusion Center, located at our Outpatient Medical Center (OPMC). Our Freestanding Infusion Center treats a broad range of conditions with chimeric monoclonal antibodies, anti-inflammatory tumor necrosis factor inhibiting agents, and other auto-immune biologics. The Assistant Nurse Manager is a supervisory position, responsible for clinical functions, staffing assignments, and care coordination. The Assistant Nurse Manager will play a key role training and managing infusion center staff, spearheading quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring safe patient care practices.

Provides leadership for clinical and administrative functions.
Establishes and maintains credibility as leader of day-to-day operations of the infusion clinic.
Develops, coordinates, and maintains various work processes that ensure successful daily clinical function.
Monitors efficient personnel schedules to streamline clinic services.
Promotes effective communication among staff and patients to assure optimal patient outcomes.
Identifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps toward problem resolution.
Leads the hiring processes for medical assistants and RNs.
Implements orientation and educational activities for staff.
Performs RN2 responsibilities and general infusion responsibilities when needed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
2 years of medical-surgical, infusion, or ambulatory nursing experience; or equivalent education/experience
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BSN/MSN
Exceptional IV placement and phlebotomy skills
Advanced knowledge in IV therapy, IV administration, and peripheral IV or midline maintenance
Previous work experience in an outpatient infusion setting
