Compensation Specialist

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

Responsible for facilitating the research, design, analysis and administration of global compensation and benefit programs, policies, and procedures. Programs include base pay, bonus, equity, health and financial benefits, and executive compensation. Provide consultation to global HR teams through data and analytics. Act as a liaison between vendors and executives in dealing with complex and highly sensitive information. Partners with accounting/finance, legal, payroll, tax, human resources, and our various plan record-keepers to ensure proper administration and communications for these plans and programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the administration of the company equity plan (stock & bonus) including, but not limited to, stock transactions, stock awards, bonus calculations, participant communication and program education; coordination with Finance and Legal regarding data and processes.
Support benefit administration, including administering benefit enrollments, entering/auditing participant data across multiple benefit platforms, acting as a liaison between and delivering ongoing reporting and analytics
Maintain the organization’s global job structure, including partnering with HR Leaders to ensure structures remain up to date, and performing annual job structure audits
Lead the annual compensation cycle such as annual merit, stock awards, employee education and communications, etc. Research and analyze market data and trends to guide internal benchmarking for promotions, market adjustments, retention, and review increases.
Administer the Deferred Compensation Plan for executive participants, including, but not limited to, open enrollments, company contributions/calculations, coordinate FICA transactions, audit payroll deferrals, manage distributions process, employee communication and program education, maintain census data, coordination with Finance and Legal regarding data and processes.
Maintain data integrity across multiple systems and platforms to support compensation, benefits, and executive programs. Provide standard and ad-hoc reporting to global HR team member and senior management to support pay and benefit decisions.
Monitor compensation compliance regulations, including management benefits and Legal plan documents. May work with other departments and external vendors to ensure compliance and to provide data.

OTHER CORE FUNCTIONS

Support the creation of the Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A) of the Proxy by providing calculations and data for the tables and narrative; assist with the CEO Pay Ratio reporting on an annual basis.
Support accounting preparation and close as it relates to executive compensation programs
Manage Stock Ownership Guidelines, which may include communications, reviewing executive status, and creating Compensation Committee presentations.
Prepare material and help conduct on-boarding meetings with management and executive employees upon hire or promotion to review management benefits.
Provide complex termination/retirement scenarios to management to determine impact on employee. Assist with managing severance plans and severance guidelines company-wide, partnering with Legal, HRBPs, and Finance.
Assist with compensation requests and special compensation and benefit projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or other related area of study
Minimum 4 years of relevant stock, compensation, benefits and/or executive program administration experience
Crisp and transparent business fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong executive presence and presentation skills
