Job Description :
Clear sight is a key sense that we all rely on in our day to day lives. Being a Diagnostic Technician allows you to contribute toward a patient’s opportunity for healthy sight while enjoying personal and professional growth. This is a NO WEEKENDS ~ Monday–Friday 8 hour shift!

As a new Diagnostic Technician you can earn your Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification within 12-18 months using skills you have learned on the job. We hold study groups, pay for your study materials, and the exam.

This position is responsible for documenting specific disease processes through photography, OCT and other imaging devices, as requested by Physicians. This position is also responsible for assisting Ophthalmologists and Optometrists by performing ophthalmic clinical functions or research functions. Employees in this role may administer eye exams, and administer eye medications. Providing excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality of patient records, along with attention to detail, the ability to task switch in a busy environment, and computer skills to include the ability to accurately type 40+ wpm, are all foundational skills to becoming a successful Diagnostic Technician.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma (or GED).
Post-secondary education with an emphasis is medical or photography preferred.

Basic proficiency with Word processing, Internet, and Spreadsheet software.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills preferred to include typing at least 40+ WPM

Valid Driver License & reliable transportation as team members may rotate between each of our 4 Spokane clinics as needed and have daily rotating start times during the week with shifts between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Willingness to act as First Responder – SEC will provide training on American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR/AED

Wage: $19.00 to DOE per hour
