JOB SUMMARY
The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing meals to all residents at the Skilled nursing Facility. All meals must follow dietary guidelines for each resident and be served on a timely basis following a specific menu. This position is also responsible for maintaining kitchen sanitation, to ensure all health standards and guidelines are followed.
Multiple full and part time shifts available!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Ensure proper delivery of food items to residents with a variety of nutritional needs.
• Maintain a clean work area, equipment and storage area.
• Perform food preparation tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Responsible for following resident menus accurately on the tray line.
• Wash dishes, cookware, flatware, and trays using approved procedures.
• Collect and remove trash and garbage as necessary.
• Communicate with family members to ensure resident’s desired nutritional needs are provided.
• Other duties as assigned.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with day- to-day functions of the Sayre Christian Village cafeteria as needed.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Knowledge and understanding of accident protocol.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with residents and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents and Nursing Home employees as needed.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Must obtain a thorough knowledge of cafeterias, kitchen supplies, food supplies and residents rooms.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
2 plus years of experience working dietary and nutritional needs for small and large groups.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or GED
• Dietary and nutritional training preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB
• Frequently communicates with employees, residents, family members, delivery drivers, etc.
• Occasionally lifts objects weighing up to 50 pounds when assisting with inventory and stocking of food supplies.
• Frequently remains in a standing position.
• Frequently stoops, kneels, or bends when assisting with inventory and stocking of kitchen and food supplies.
• Frequently works in a well lit, tempered room.
• Frequently works with kitchen appliances that can reach high temperatures.
