DSHS Lakeland Custodian 1
Lakeland Village located in Medical Lake, WA is hiring three temporary Custodian 1’s to join their team. Our successful applicant will effectively maintain a clean and safe facility with a positive and guest-friendly attitude. You will join us as a part of the Lakeland Village Custodial Team.
Some of what you’ll do:
Perform heavy duty cleaning and maintaining of floors: shampoo carpets, scrub, strip seal, and wax using industrial equipment
Rotates through nine duplexes, five nursing home buildings, and various other buildings
Clean sinks, toilets, mirrors, and mop boards in facility bathrooms
Keep restrooms and storage closets properly stocked with supplies
Vacuum carpets and sweep outside porches, and steps
Wash walls and ceilings, vents, lights, and windows inside and outside the building
Empty garbage cans and take garbage to the dumpster
What we are looking for:
Complete familiarity with principles and practices of janitorial maintenance
Knowledge of regulations and safety standards governing the cleaning of public facilities
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions during any time of day
Hands-on experience with janitorial equipment and cleaning supplies including safety practices relative to the use of cleaning agents
Knowledge of custodial and housekeeping methods, use of all related equipment, such as vacuum, floor buffers, strippers, wet vacuums, and window cleaning tools
Experience multi-tasking and working independently
Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
Must be willing to work in a team environment
