Unit: Early Head Start/Head StartDivision: Early Learning & Family ServicesReports to: Deputy Director of Operations & Quality AssuranceFLSA Class: Non-ExemptJob Type: Full Time/30 hours per weekSalary: $15.62/hour
POSITION SUMMARYThis position operates computers, maintains program databases and performs data entry for the ELFS program. Must have proven ability to organize, prioritize, work independently, and develop projects with other team members.REQUIRED EDUCATION & PREFERRED EXPERIENCERequires Associates Degree plus three years experience in the data entry field. Appropriate experience may be substituted for education requirements.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must have experience in MS Office applications
Operates and maintains computer equipment
Must be able to communicate effectively and positively
Ability to establish relationships of trust and respect with staff, families, and children
Must have concern for and understanding of low-income people
Must have reliable transportation to use on the job and the ability to travel overnight.
Must be aware and sensitive to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) related to free appropriate education to all children with disabilities identified as needing special education and related services.
Must believe that such children can benefit from inclusion in a regular Early Head Start and Head Start classroom setting.
Ability to pass Washington State and Federal Background Checks
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
Washington State Driver’s License and good driving record.
Current auto liability insurance and a reliable vehicle.
First Aid/CPR certification (within 90 days of employment)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES
Reports to and accepts, assignment from the Deputy Director of Operations, and accepts assignments from ELFS Director and Managers
Data entry into program databases, including attendance and meal count records, CACFP enrollment/income eligibility application forms, and data in WINS
Assist in the planning, preparation, organization, design and coordination of all Early Learning & Family Services statistical and program data reports as assigned
Track and maintain non-federal share (In-Kind) in program database
Assist in scheduling and conducting family interviews for program enrollment
Attend KCR and Head Start/Early Head Start/ECEAP meetings and trainings as required.
Enter child applications and upload child file documents for archiving
Provide back-up coverage support for Front Desk Reception as needed
Accepts other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL FUNCTIONSPosition requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, twisting and bending. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Simple grasping and hand manipulation required as well as reaching above and below shoulder level. Requires accuracy, good communication, judgment, and the ability to remain calm and provide appropriate advice and information.
