We are looking for a full-time Human Resources Generalist that will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, such as, processing payroll, organizing trainings, maintain personnel files, assisting with recruiting, etc. The Human Resources Generalist will use the HRIS to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential as well as responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource.
Performs Bi-weekly payroll for office and union, for Milwaukee and Canada
Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
Handles new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Reviews/Maintains proper documentation regarding worker injuries and files claims appropriately
Maintain employee files and records in electronic form
Inputs all data in HRIS regarding New Hires and terminations
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director of HR.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications, etc.
Review and recommend policy updates and changes to the Director of HR
Assists the Director of HR with HR projects
Assists with benefits administration
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills Required
6 years of job-related experience as Generalist, Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
ADP experience required
Manufacturing environment is a plus
Union / Labor Relations preferred
Extensive knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite, ADP).
Extensive knowledge of employment/labor laws.
Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
Excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
