The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for a variety of tasks relating to Human Resources including, but not limited to, processing of bi-weekly payroll, administration of employee benefits, assisting in the hiring of new employees, and ensuring compliance of the policies and procedures pertinent to Human Resources as set forth by the Company and state or federal regulation or law.

Our Mission:
The mission of The Rivers of Grosse Pointe is to be a premier health and rehabilitation center by exceeding the expectations of our Residents, Families of Residents, and Employees.

Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
Input new employees into the timekeeping system and payroll database.
Organize and run weekly new-hire orientation
Assist employees in completion of benefit package paperwork and execute enrollment and/or termination of benefit plans.
Establish and maintain personnel files for all employees in accordance with current policies on content and confidentiality.
Provide all necessary payroll documentation to process all claims for Unemployment Compensation benefits.
Respond to employment requests/questions from employees.
Verify employment as requested.
Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties within allotted time.
Attend and participate in facility meetings, including those related to Infection Control/Safety/Quality Improvement if requested and/or assigned.
Assist Director of Human Resources as needed.
Attend continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, or demonstrate an equivalence of experience.
Should have a minimum of two (2) years related experience.
One (1) year experience in a long-term care setting preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Stooping, bending, lifting, carrying, and other physical demands may be required. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
