Job Description Summary The incumbent will be responsible for managing material changes to purchased components / make assemblies, and new product introductions. Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials according to production schedules & program timelines. Influence and establish relationships with suppliers to deliver results. Execute materials management projects. This role will involve manufacturing floor activities and require on-site presence.
Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Adhere to standard work activities including but not limited to warehouse walks, shop floor exemptions (eg. receiving issues), data cleanliness defects, open ECO maintenance in Oracle.
Collaborates with cross functional teams (Program, Engineering, Design Transfer, Sourcing, etc) to understand and track major program milestones, new product introductions, and phase outs. Ensures that materials planning aligns to these requirements.
Reviews, approves, and executes ECR/ECOs (engineering change orders). Ensures no interruptions to the production schedule while minimizing obsolete/excess material.
Maintains the master part data set within the organization. Achieves data cleanliness goals.
Coordinate quality requirements for material changes including rework, first article inspection, etc
Works with master scheduler and demand planner to coordinate changes materials planning.
Provide input to PSI planning regarding phase in/outs and long-range product timelines
Demonstrate proficiency in Oracle, Materials Management, and teach/on-board new team members.
Support achieving inventory business metrics including turns, overall $, net & gross variances
Supports materials accuracy including management of cycle count program and exemption based systemic cleanup efforts.
Supports disposition and return of defective material, achieving plant financial targets.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of directly related experience.
Desired Characteristics
Experience using Oracle
Intermediate Excel (Formulas, Pivots, Ad-hoc reports, advanced formulas, report generation)
1 years of experience in materials management using an ERP system
Motivation for progression in materials & supply management roles
Demonstrated cross functional or direct leadership experience
Basic understanding of demand/supply planning, production scheduling.
APICS certified
