The Network Program Consultant role within the UnitedHealthcare Networks National Network Strategy team is designed to take a multi-disciplinary, interdepartmental approach for the successful network assessment and selection, compliance with network requirements including, program/product implementation, and monitoring with United’s provider network for all government lines of business. This role is all about challenge and relationships. You’ll partner with leaders from various lines of business as we work on building effective relationships with assigned responsibilities. The Network Program Consultant will perform network analysis, obtain data, verify validity of data, and analyze data as required, including the analysis of network availability and access. Other responsibilities may also include making recommendations regarding use, expansion, selection of networks for various products based on that analysis. This position will assist in the development of the provider network across the region generating a geographically competitive and stable network that achieves objectives for unit cost performance, trend management and produces an affordable and predictable product for customers and business partners.

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or 5 years equivalent work experience
3+ years of healthcare/managed care experience
2+ years of experience implementing performance improvement projects or using data to develop strategies to improve performance
2+ years in relationship building with providers
Intermediate Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including out-of-state travel
Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifcations:

2+ years of experience with Medicare Advantage products or Managed Medicaid products
2+ years of provider network experience
Experience with CMS Quality Measures
Project management experience
Ability to collect, analyze, and present data

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
