PT Front Desk Lead / Supervisor
Baptist Health Medical Group – Physical Therapy (PT)
Reports To : PT Operations Manager
Supervises: Shares supervision with Clinic Managers of all Front Desk Coordinators Statewide in BHMG PT & Rehab services
Under the direction of the Operations Manager of Physical Therapy &/or designated PT Clinic Manager(s) the Rehab Office Coordinator Lead/ Supervisor for BHMG Rehab is responsible for providing expertise, and direction for Physical, (Occupational ,& Speech) Therapy Front Desk operations at all BHMG PT clinics statewide. The Lead/Supervisor, assisted by the Rehab Operations managers, oversees training, scheduling and daily management of all PT Front Desk Office coordinators at the clinics statewide and coordinates with the PCH offices on work flow and upgrades on an ongoing and real time basis. Additionally this Lead/supervisor insures consistent training and work flow performance of all PT Front Office Coordinators. Seeks to improve daily front desk and processes and activities. Consistently employs efficient approaches and demonstrates critical thinking to achieve the desired results. Partners with PT/ Rehab leadership, as well as PCH, EPIC & Performance Improvement staff to systematize and improve processes and analysis. Must practice commitment to compliance, ethics and quality in all activities. Expertise in understanding and utilization of EPIC systems is essential for mastery thereof to serve as the internal Front Desk expert as it relates to PT front office processes statewide.
Additionally this Lead supervisor will serve as the first line of coverage for on-site PRN –type coverage at the KYANA PT clinics Front Desk when those Office Coordinators are on PTO. This Supervisor would be responsible to cover the 15 PT clinics in KYANA which will encompass approximately 30 weeks a year of their year.
Concomitantly a mature, steady and fair minded approach to people management and employee relations is equally essential to technical expertise. Both collegial and supervisory people skills are needed to succeed in this lead position interfacing with PT & PCH and upper level Baptist Health management.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or healthcare related field is preferred
Multi-provider and/or specialty medical practice and/or payer Front Office experience is preferred
EPIC operational experience strongly preferred & aptitude therefor essential
Advanced knowledge of PT , Medial or Revenue Cycle applications 2+ years’ experience in health care practice &/or billing and/or management preferred
Proficient with MS Office application suite – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficient use of basic computer applications (e.g., Internet Explorer, word processing, email applications)
Advanced keyboarding skills
Ability and experience to interact with all levels of a health care practice and network to include clerical, professional, management, and medical staff.
