Benefits include vacation, available health insurance, and employee discounts! Planet Powersports has an immediate opportunity in our service department for an experienced Service Manager. Previous Auto, RV, or marine experience is also encouraged to apply.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversee the management of all service department teammates and equipment. Including Service Writers, Technicians, Parts to Service staff, forklift, delivery trucks/trailers, shop equipment etc.
· Determine all maintenance needs and schedule all service work
· Provide clear and precise instructions on daily work orders assignments for technicians
· Oversee and monitor parts department to ensure timely ordering and maintain stock levels
· Review work orders, verify completion; follow up with Service Technician, Service Writers and/or Customers as needed
· Review technician progress; inspect work for proper workmanship and quality control; continually train and mentor service writers and technicians.
· verify Service Writers are communicating with and updating service customers
· Listening, communicating and customer issue resolution skills are essential
· Monitor Customer Satisfaction scores/feedback to maintain high levels of CSI. Assist with customer communication, maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring repeat customers
· Occasional conflict resolution with vendors and suppliers
· Strong working knowledge Company’s products and services
· Maintain strong relationship with the sales and parts departments, ensuring timely delivery of sold vehicles and after sale service
· Coach and lead staff in pursuit of exceeding business goals.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Prior management and team leading/building experience
· Good knowledge of powersports, personal watercraft and marine systems, repair techniques and maintenance requirements
· Highly organized and detail-oriented
· Able to effectively multi-task several job functions at once
· Self-starter with good time management skills
· Managing Personnel which includes: employee schedules, daily job task assignment, training and certifications.
· A very strong attention to quality work and detail
· Be able to work independently and with a team
· Foster a work environment with customers and employees with respect and positive attitude at all times.
· Service Management: 3 years minimum (Preferred)
