This strong foundation has created an environment where our employees are seen as members of our family and are given the tools and resources to succeed, both personally and professionally.Position OverviewUnder the direction of the Prep Lab Supervisor, the Prep Lab Technician will be responsible for providing the Microbiology and Chemistry labs with clean glassware, sterile media, and sterile sampling suppliesHours7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday, or as job responsibilities requireEssential Functions
Prepare and dispense various bacteriological media
Operate autoclave for sterilization of media, biohazard, and miscellaneous supplies
Keep detailed records of media preparation and autoclave cycles
Wash glassware in laboratory
Complete product sample retention and reserves
Perform general cleaning duties in the lab
Empty garbage and recycle containers in the labs
QualificationsEducation:
High School Diploma required
Associate’s Degree in a scientific field preferred
Certifications:
N/A
Experience:
0-1 years of experience
Experience in a quality control laboratory is preferred
Experience with troubleshooting lab equipment is preferred
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of general laboratory functions
Knowledge of computer software
