Job Description
Ownership of plant quality metrics, quality management system, and compliance to Bosch, customer and regulatory requirements. Establish quality strategies and lead the plant in achieving local, regional and divisional targets.
Perform duties as the Management representative for the sites Quality Management System while ensuring local procedures and processes meet the requirements of IATF, ISO, customer and Bosch internal requirements
Initiate and drive quality improvement activities in the plant through open and transparent communication both within the quality function and all its touch points within the organization
Responsible for reporting of plant quality performance to local and divisional leadership
Act as a coach for problem solving methodologies, crisis management and customer support activities in the event of internal and external quality issues
Ownership of both proactive and reactive quality functions within the facility including; production quality, measurement quality (calibration and gauging), and supplier quality
Provide leadership for various data analysis techniques focused on the reduction of process variation
Lead the facility through internal and external systems and process audits
Act as a visible leader while contributing to: APQP, PPAP, GD&T, product liability, basic measurement devices, ISO/TS16949-2002, FMEA , attributive and variable statistics, sampling schemes, SPC/Control Charting, Lean production strategies, Machine and process capabilities, Measurement systems assessment, Mistake proofing, customer specific requirements, Product examinations, Quality assessments, 8D problem solving, Seven basic quality tools, KT analysis, Shainin, DOE, SAP (IQIS), DRBFM
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited four-year College or University; seven to ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience should be gained in areas of engineering or technical operations and should include a minimum of three years in Quality Management.
Individual must have ability to make independent decisions that may be of a complex nature.
Thorough understanding of the elements, implementation and management of IATF/ISO customer and Bosch standards and requirements.
Works under minimal supervision. May assist in orienting and training lower level employees.
Demonstrated understand of various business processes including product engineering, manufacturing, and logistics and their interaction with the various quality functions
Must have Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software. Must be capable of learning other software packages (Ex: SAP, QDAS, etc…).
