Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit

Ascension Providence, Novi Campus

Part-Time Days, 24 hours per week

Schedule: 7AM – 7:30PM; Rotating weekends and holidays

Unit Description

17-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry. Patient teaching and discharge planning are major components of nursing care on this unit. Our spiritually centered holistic care with a relationship-based focus allows us to care for the changing needs of patients throughout their stay. Our team promotes an environment of teamwork, support, and professional development.

Ascension Providence Hospital – Novi is a full-service hospital with 24/7 emergency care, a Level II Trauma Center, and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
