Job Description Summary: You will lead a team of Software Engineers building solutions for a holistic understanding of how PayPal production is operating and building products to facilitate a DevOps culture. The team makes data-driven decisions and builds capabilities at scale that will be used by PayPal engineers.

What You’ll Do
Collaborate with leadership, customers, partners and stakeholders to move initiatives forward, balancing competing needs and distilling a coherent strategy
Lead high velocity Agile practices focused on results and engineering excellence
Drive initiatives to implement observability best practices and evangelize those by partnering across PayPal business units
Translate customer and stakeholder current and future needs into self-service products
Lead with empathy and trust
Coach and support engineers on the team, with a strong focus on feedback and growth
Emphasize engineering best practices, iterative progress, delivering value, and data driven decision making
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience in software engineering management
9+ years of experience in software engineering
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience mentoring and developing engineers in their career journey
Knowledge in DevOps practices and tools
Experience building solutions in the Cloud
Experience with large-scale distributed systems
Experience with Splunk/SignalFX is a nice to have

Colorado Only : The pay range for this position is as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining final salary.
