Position Description:
Responsible for Solution Architecture for one or more products, scalability, security, performance, etc.
Delivers architecture artifacts (business, information, data, process, solution, application, service, technology, infrastructure architectures) to solution, service, and technology delivery initiatives, programs, and projects
Provides troubleshooting for technical and performance issues, and guidance to product teams on technology standards
Working with Data Science supporting agile processes to deliver cloud-native analytics products across many product areas
Apply knowledge of AI and ML solutions, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, API strategies and micro-services, streaming platforms such as Kafka, etc. to be able to provide sustainable Architectural guidance on resolving capability gaps and addressing new customer requirements
Accountable for architecture and information management guidance and governance processes
Responsible for enterprise capability integration by describing and evaluating the opportunities for integration and alignment of information and process flows, selecting appropriate implementation strategies, and defining technology mechanisms required
Skills Required:
Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform Tools & Services In-depth expertise with modern analytics tools and techniques including data discovery, streaming analytics, databases, microservices, APIs, and related modern and disrupting technologies
Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of and experience with Reference Architectures
Familiarity in providing technical analytic/data solutions for applications
Ability to design and implement architecture standards and patterns to be re-used throughout the organization
Experience Required:
Experience working with software development teams on sophisticated projects
Experience in working with Agile and Lean methodologies
Ability to communicate effectively with IT and business team members on a global level and negotiate solutions and drive consensus across platforms
Exposure and experience with automotive Architectural standards, processes, and documentation
Experience Preferred:
Familiarity with automotive technology standards
Knowledge of automotive Data Supply Chain, SCA – V, *PVD, and Analytic Tools are plus
Knowledge of Agile development
5+ years of IT architecture experience
5+ years working in large-scale, diverse IT environments
Must have the ability to estimate development effort
Must be able to manage multiple projects at a time
Must have excellent communication skills
Provides direction and support to project teams by translating business capabilities into well-defined Projects/programs with clear objectives and deliverables
Visualizes and communicates architecture concepts, principles, strategies, and models for programs, initiatives, and domains
Facilitates architecture discussions with cross-functional business sponsors and product lines to ensure alignment
Education Required:
BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical field
Education Preferred:
Google Cloud Platform or other Cloud certifications Master’s degree in computer science or related field
Additional Safety Training/Licensing/Personal Protection Requirements:
Additional Information:
Should have knowledge of and understand the functionality of standard DevOps tools such as Git, Tekton, Docker (containerization), CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with data tools and compute platforms such as Hadoop, and Kubernetes as well as data science environments/principles
