Summary
Seeking candidates who are interested in working in a dynamic environment with an innovative program that supports the social emotional learning of young people using creative nontraditional practices. The qualified candidate will participate in weekly Telling It sessions, learn developmentally appropriate skills for site facilitation and eventually lead program sessions.

Who We Are
Telling It is a trauma-informed and healing centered afterschool program for school-age youth that draws from the best practices of social work filtered through the expressive arts. Responsibilities*
Apply the expressive arts through a lens that is trauma-informed, strengths aware and culturally respectful and sensitive
Supervise a team of staff, college interns and volunteers
Organize program site
Maintain a collaborative relationship with community partners
Assist the Program Director and others in producing an annual anthology highlighting the writing and artwork of the youth
Expectations
Attend monthly staff meetings
Experience in leadership roles
Be able to work effectively across race, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, sexual orientation, gender identity and ability
Ability-based competencies that include: communicating and problem-solving; displaying reliability and accountability; maintaining confidentiality; being attentive to detail; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships; and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Schedule
Hours: Up to 8 hours per week. Hours will vary depending on the candidate’s availability.
