Job Description :
Spokane Produce, Inc. is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to add to our team!
The qualified individual will work full-time with a schedule of Monday – Friday 6am to 2:30pm.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for routine building maintenance and repair, including but not limited to, conveying system, pumps and motors, minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical and packaging machines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Perform regular building maintenance and repair.
Clean building and grounds as needed, including shoveling of snow and de-icing walkways.
Perform routine maintenance on processing equipment – sharpening blades, greasing and lubing, inspecting and repairing electrical panels.
Implement necessary inspections or repairs as part of the preventative maintenance and equipment manufacturer recommendations.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with Processing, Kitchen and Warehouse departments.
Basic light wiring and fixtures repairs.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Keep accurate testing and maintenance records of all equipment.
Identify conditions needing major repair and recommend corrective action to the Facilities Manager.
Perform diagnostic troubleshooting of systems to ensure minimum equipment downtime.
Monitor production equipment daily.
Duties may include cleaning and preparing a job site, spray weeds, painting, loading and delivering materials.
Perform duties using a variety of tools and machines, such as chainsaw, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws and pressure washer.
All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of building maintenance experience and equipment repair
Familiarity with carpentry, plumbing and electrical including the ability to read electrical wiring schematics and blueprints
Must have electrical diagnostic experience
Must be able to climb ladders
Effective communications skills, recordkeeping and math skills
Must be able to frequently lift, move, push, pull heavy objects or materials
Analytical problem-solving skills
Work independently with minimal supervision

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Requires some physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials, up to 100 pounds occasionally. Due to working outside, candidate will be tolerant of extreme weather conditions. Must have the ability to concentrate in a noisy environment.
The successful candidate must have reliable transportation, be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen, and continue to satisfy our drug testing policy, if offered employment.
