HOW YOU WILL DO IT
Purpose Statement: Lead a global strategy around how Plexus manages data and complies with data-related legal requirements, with particular focus on sensitive and personal data.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Lead the facilitation of the Plexus enterprise-wide data governance framework, with a focus on the classification of data and the protection of sensitive and personal data through modifications to organization behavior, policies and procedures, training, and related technological tools.
Lead the strategy and executional processes related to global privacy requirements, establishing a common approach across multiple governance frameworks. This includes serving as the primary contact with the organization’s external Data Protection Officer (DPO) on matters related to privacy data, as well as maintaining close coordination with privacy leaders in each of our locations.
Serve as a liaison for data governance between operational / functional leaders and the Information Technology team to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
Maintain and enhance a compliance management system for data governance and privacy, including defined regulatory requirements, documented controls and accountabilities, and the establishment of performance metrics and monitoring.
Accountable to execute on Plexus’ Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
Additional Accountabilities:
Monitor compliance with federal laws related to data governance and privacy in the jurisdictions where Plexus has locations.
Embrace and champion the Plexus culture, including the Plexus Values and Leadership Competencies and the 5E’s to Customer Service Excellence.
Embrace a continuous improvement mindset and lead the organization with current relevant concepts to provide a safe and secure workplace for Plexus employees and visitors.
Maintain a general knowledge and understanding of Plexus’ business.
Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 15%).
Additional duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred, in a related field of study, including information technology or business.
At least ten (10) years of related experience is required.
Five (5) or more years of people leadership experience required.
Experience in other interrelated IT functions is preferred.
Other Qualifications:
