Job Description :
Medium size trucking company seeking a full-time dispatcher/load planner. The functions outlined are a summary of the specific duties and tasks of this position but not limited too. The employee is expected to learn and is required to cross-train with co-workers to perform all functions within the department to fill in during vacations, sickness, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with customer to schedule pick-ups and deliveries of freight
Establish and maintain relationships with customers, carriers, brokers, and drivers
Being a point of contact for larger customers
Book and schedule freight
Enter dispatch and loads into the trucking software
Assist scheduling local drivers in New York/Wisconsin
Comply with FMCSA and monitor HOS to adjust pickup and delivery times
Answering phone calls, texts, and e-mails
Strong computer skills
Maintain a good working relationship with the drivers
Communicate pick up and deliveries with drivers
Conflict resolution with customers, shippers, receivers, brokers, and drivers
Coordinates with shop for maintenance on equipment
Interviewing new applicants
Searching for brokered loads
Quoting and bidding lanes with current and new customers
Take turns being “On-Call” for drivers
Making sales calls to obtain new customers
Other
High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree in Business preferred
Minimum of 1 year dispatch experience required
Ability to multi-task and preform well in a fast-paced environment
Highly organized
Must possess strong interpersonal skills
Must be willing to work more than 8 hours a day, some night and weekend phone calls
Perform related duties as assigned by owner
May require occasional travel to the New York terminal as needed
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Other duties as requested

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
